Connally Elementary Students Learn that Fractions are Fun
See the video of how 3rd Grade Connally Elementary students are learning about fractions.

Connally Elementary School students are proving that learning about fractions in math class can be fun.Β In a TalkUp APS Blog entry, it was written that, "through a hands-on activity, students were able to explore fractions using shapes and partition shapes into equal parts."
Math and fractions are often one of those subjects that scares grown-ups alike, but Mrs. Collins' 3rd grade class at Connally have found a way to make the subject approachable and even fun.Β
"Last week they partitioned shapes into equal parts using just one shape, and this week we combined the shapes to let the students know that when the region changes the fraction is going to look a little bit different,β explained Mrs. Collins in the APS blog.
