LifeLine Animal Project Hosting "Healthy Pets Fulton" on Saturday

LifeLine Animal Project and Fulton County Animal Services invite Fulton County residents to attend "Healthy Pets Fulton" on Saturday, May 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Charles E. Phillips, Sr. Esquire Park (formerly Jamestown Park), 4400 Herschel Road, in College Park.

The event will offer free vaccinations provided by a licensed veterinarian, vouchers for free spay/neuters, free pet food and much more. No registration is necessary for this first-come, first-served event. 

The promotion is also made possible by the generous contribution of Second Life Thrift Store.

“LifeLine offers veterinary services and pet education directly to pet owners in our communities who need them,” Debbie Setzer, community outreach director for LifeLine, said in a news release. “These resources improve the quality of life for pets and their families, prevent unplanned litters and decrease the number of animals ending up in shelters.”

Founded in 2002, LifeLine Animal Project is a nonprofit organization providing lifesaving solutions to end the killing of healthy and treatable animals, promoting animal welfare and preventing pet overpopulation in metro Atlanta. As the managing organization for Fulton County Animal Services and DeKalb County Animal Services, LifeLine is reducing euthanasia rates and promoting responsible pet ownership.

The organization also operates two low-cost spay/neuter clinics, which have performed 71,000 surgeries to date, and its own rehabilitative, no-kill shelter.
