Night & Day Cab Driver Killed in Road Rage Accident
Police say Monday night's wreck in College Park was due to road rage.

Video surveillance from the scene in College Park has led police to believe that the deadly accident that killed a cab driver was due to an argument he had with another driver.
On Monday, the Night & Day taxi driver, Karl Green, died when his vehicle ran off the ramp from I-85 to Riverdale Road and struck a tree.

"It appears it may have been a case of road rage that got out of hand," Sgt. Cameron Burke, traffic division supervisor for the College Park Police Department, told the AJC in a phone interview Tuesday afternoon.
"One of them was chasing the other," Burke said. "We're not exactly sure why or how ... who did what to whom, or what started all of this."

Karl Green had just started working as a taxi driver six months ago, and may have known the other driver that was chasing him.Β Cameras from an Exxon station on Old National Highway show Mr. Green and a female driver getting into an argument in the gas station parking lot.Β Police assume that the argument escalated from there and spilled out into the streets with Green being followed at high speeds by the woman in the parking lot.
After the fatal crash, the woman was taken to the hospital after complaining about neck and back pains.Β She has not been charged with anything at this time.Β Karl Green's girlfriend told a television news crew that she believes that woman chased Green off the road and should be held accountable.
