The Lady Warriors, SW Atlanta Christian Academy's Girls Basketball team, has made it all the way to the State Championships, taking place on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. in Macon, GA.

SW Atlanta Christian Academy (SACA), former home of NBA superstar Dwight Howard, is the only school in the entire Southwest Atlanta area to make it to the State Championships this year.  The Lady Warriors take on St. Francis for the top prize as the 2013 Class A-Private Girls Basketball Champions.

The Lady Warriors made it to the championship game by beating the girls of Holy Innocents in the Final Four with a score of 78-43.

Southwest Atlanta Christian senior Alexis Carter is one of the many stars on the SACA team.  In an article in the Neighbor Newspaper, Carter is described as a "6-foot-1 center who is a nuisance" to her opponents.  She can shoot with both hands and is also known as a stand out shot blocker.

Cascade Patch wishes the Lady Warriors and their supporters much success at the State Championship!  Bring that trophy back to SW Atlanta where it belongs!
