SW Atlanta Man Survives Early Morning Shooting Near Citgo on Campbellton Rd.
The victim himself was able to call 911 and get emergency help that saved his life.

A southwest Atlanta man is recovering this morning at Grady Hospital after being shot by a group of individuals at an apartment on Devon Drive near Childress and Campbellton Road.
According to Atlanta Police, the victim was able to run away after being shot around 3 a.m. Friday morning, and got into a car.Β The car drove the victim to the Citgo gas station at Campbellton Road, where he was able to call 911.
Officer Tim Peek, spoke from the scene and said, he was "not certain" if the man was robbed before he was shot. "Was it an altercation or what.Β We don't know at this point, it's pretty early in the investigation," Officer Peek told tv cameras at the scene.

The victim was said to be in stable condition without life threatening injuries.Β No motive or suspects in the shooting have been established yet.
