Naked Man At Lake Lanier Attacks Officers: Police

A man who fellow patrons at Lake Lanier said had been walking around publicly in the nude was arrested after attacking a pair of sheriff's deputies, authorities say.

The man had reportedly refused to leave the Lanier Islands campground after having been asked to do so by security. When Hall County deputies arrived, the man first gave them a fake name, then allegedly attempted to strike a deputy before running into the lake and refusing to come out.>>> Read more.

Georgia Tax-Free Weekend 2016

Georgia's statewide back-to-school tax-free holiday weekend will take place this Saturday and Sunday, July 30-31.

The Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget estimates the two-day holiday will save Georgians up to $74.5 million. Under state law, the holiday starts at midnight Friday and will conclude at midnight on July 31. >>> Read more.
