A man who fellow patrons at Lake Lanier said had been walking around publicly in the nude was arrested after attacking a pair of sheriff's deputies, authorities say.

Georgia's statewide back-to-school tax-free holiday weekend will take place this Saturday and Sunday, July 30-31.

The Governor’s Office of Planning and Budget estimates the two-day holiday will save Georgians up to $74.5 million. Under state law, the holiday starts at midnight Friday and will conclude at midnight on July 31. >>> Read more.
