Sisters of Today & Tomorrow Celebrate Women's History: "The Image of Women in Television” on Saturday
Come out and celebrate the launch of Women's History Month

The all girl empowerment organization, Sisters of Today and Tomorrow (SOT) will celebrate its 9th annual women’s history month program, “Celebrating Women of Color… The Image of Women in Television”, Saturday, March 2, 2013, 11am-1pm at Atlanta City Hall, 55 Trinity Avenue., SW., downtown Atlanta.
$10 (Suggested donation). The event is open to all.
“We are transforming the way women and girls communicate,” stated Karen Mason, Chairperson of the Women’s History Month program. “As SOT kicks-off our first major program of the year, our goal is to inform and entertain our audience.

We will have our girls highlight a few women in television history including: Diahann Carroll, Nichelle Nichols and Oprah Winfrey.
There will be performances by ‘God’s Gurls’ and ‘Songstress Nicole Love’.

We will also honor Trumpet Awards Founder, Xernona Clayton, the first woman of color to grace Atlanta Television, with ‘Defining Our Moment Award’; Culminating the program with TV One’s R&B Diva’s Executive Producer Nicci Gilbert leading us in an inter-generational dialogue on “Maximizing Our Moment” with a few television personalities, about the highlights, pitfalls and images of today’s women in television,” says Mason.
In addition, there will be Light fare and vendor shopping available.
