Here are the top three stories today in Columbus:
- Columbus police are investigating a shooting that occurred at or near the 2200 block of George Street on Apr. 17. One man was injured during the incident and found at the Buena Vista Dollar General store. No further information has been released as of Apr. 17. (WRBL)
- The Annual Lyrids meteor shower's estimated peak is this weekend! From Friday, Apr. 21, through Sunday, Apr. 23, observers will be able to see about 10-15 meteors per hour and it is possible to see an "outburst," of up to 100 per hour. Those who would like to observe the meteor shower should find a dark place away from Columbus city lights. (WRBL)
- The 10th annual Mother Son Dance in Columbus will take place on Saturday, May 13, from 6-8 p.m. Mothers or mother-like figures and sons will dance and dress up for this year’s theme, “The Masquerade,” at The Party Place in Columbus. (WTVM 9)
