DFCS Board Member Recognized by Commissioners
Forsyth County Board of Commissioners honored Linda Whittle for her years of dedicated service as a board member for the Department of Family and Children Services.

The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners commended Linda Whittle at its meeting Thursday, Jan. 19, recognizing her years of dedicated service as a board member for the .
Commission Chairman Jim Boff said DFCS plays an important role in serving the needs of the community’s families and children.
"It is dedicated individuals such as Ms. Whittle who truly make a difference in the lives of those the organization serves," said Boff.

Whittle served on the Department of Family and Children Services’ board from 1991 through 2011, and also served as chair of the board.
The Board of Commissioners and Department of Family and Children Services Board members presented a plaque to Whittle in recognition of her service.
