Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Holds 'National Night Out' Tonight
Sheriff's Office and Super Target host a crime prevention event tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Get to know your neighbors and those sworn to "serve and protect" Forsyth County residents during tonight's 28th Annual "National Night Out (NNO)," an event held throughout the country to increase crime prevention awareness.
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is partnering with for tonight's event. Residents will be treated to car seat safety brochures, crime prevention tips and much more. Also get up-close-and-personal at several law enforcement vehicles featured tonight. On display will be a Dodge Challenger (purchased with drug seizure funds) and one of the fire engine's from the Forsyth County Fire Department, said Sgt. Allan Frampton with the county Crime Prevention and Crime Analysis Unit.
This is the third year that the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office has participated in NNO, held on the first Tuesday every August.

National Night Out is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. Last year more than 15,000 communities and 37 million people across the country participated in the event.
