Forsyth Schools, County Offices Adjust Schedules For Jan. 10
The Forsyth County School District and government officials have changed their schedules for Friday. Here's the latest.

CUMMING, GA — Forsyth County schools and district offices will close Friday as Georgia hunkers down for a widespread winter storm that may be a menace to the East Coast.
School officials said students should log into CANVAS for an online learning day. Extracurricular activities for Friday and Saturday will be canceled, school officials said.
Additionally, Forsyth County government officials said any non-essential county offices will close Friday and Saturday.

This will include all general county government offices, the Forsyth County Courthouse and courthouse annex, the Pet Resource Center, recycling convenience centers, Senior Services, Access Forsyth transportation services and Forsyth County Parks and Recreation’s indoor and gated facilities.
The county is canceling all Parks and Recreation programs and activities.

"Forsyth County Emergency Management Agency staff will continue to monitor the anticipated winter weather event and additional announcements pertaining to closures will be made, as necessary," county officials said in a news release.
