Free Prostate Cancer Screenings At Northside Hospital-Forsyth

Northside Hospital-Forsyth Cancer Center is offering free prostate cancer screenings tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Nearly 7,000 men in Georgia, more than 80 men in Forsyth County, will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year, according to estimations by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). 

To help raise awareness of this most frequently diagnosed cancer in men, Northside Hospital-Forsyth Cancer Center is offering free prostate cancer screenings tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Local health care professionals will screen adult men for symptoms of the disease and offer free PSA (protein specific antigen) blood tests and digital rectal exams at no charge.

For uninsured men, age 40-75, who have never been diagnosed with prostate cancer, are not currently under a physician’s care for prostate-related problems and haven’t had a prostate exam within the past year, are eligible to participate. A limited number of appointments will be made available for men with insurance.
