Georgians Head To These 3 Spots To Get Their 'Fall Fix': Survey
A recent survey asked just over 3,000 respondents where residents of their state prefer to get their true "fall fix." Here's what GA said.
Autumn is in full swing in Georgia, and whether it's an apple orchard, a leaf-peeping trip or strolling through a pumpkin patch, residents all have a favorite way — and a favorite place — to get their fall fix.
A recent survey conducted by Gunther Volkswagen in Delray Beach, Florida, asked just over 3,000 respondents where residents of their state prefer to get their true “fall fix.”
"Pumpkin spice isn’t just a flavor - it’s shorthand for all the cozy, seasonal stops that make an autumn drive feel complete," the survey authors wrote.

It turns out Georgians like to venture out a bit, according to the survey.
The No. 1 place residents go to get their fall fix is Dutch Monkey Doughnuts, located at 3075 Ronald Reagan Blvd. in Cumming.

"Dutch Monkey turns into a little slice of fall indulgence once the leaves start to turn," read the survey. "The counters fill with warm, sugary creations, the air hangs heavy with cinnamon and glaze, and the line of regulars seems to stretch just a little longer. Picking up a box here feels like more than breakfast — it’s a small celebration of autumn, carried home in a paper bag."
Coming in at No. 2 was Perc Coffee, located at 1802 E. Broad St. in Savannah. The shop also has four sites in Atlanta and one in Tucker.
"Perc has a playful, creative energy that makes it feel like a natural fit for autumn," read the survey. "The café buzzes with locals chatting and laptops humming, while the baristas lean into seasonal drinks that carry just the right amount of spice. Even with Savannah’s mild fall, the cozy atmosphere inside makes a latte or chai feel like the perfect companion to the changing season."
Finally, Georgians head to Hillcrest Orchards, located at 9696 Hwy. 52 E. in Ellijay, for their fall fix.
"Nestled in the north Georgia mountains, Hillcrest takes on that postcard-ready look as autumn settles in," read the survey. "The air grows cooler, the hills take on a patchwork of color, and families wander the orchard rows at an easy pace. It’s not just about apples — it’s the whole rhythm of fall: hayrides, laughter drifting across the fields, and that unmistakable sense that the season has fully arrived."

“As much as pumpkin spice and cider define fall, it’s really the journey that ties it all together,” said Joseph Gunther IV of Gunther Volkswagen. “Whether you’re pulling off at a favorite café or making a detour to a pumpkin patch, those stops become part of the drive itself. Fall isn’t just about where you end up - it’s about enjoying every mile along the way.”
