- Experience the annual IPRA World Championship Rodeo during Labor Day weekend, featuring thrilling events like Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, and more, held from Sep. 1-3. The show, lasting about 2.5 hours each night, kicks off at 8:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, with gates opening two hours prior for ticket sales. Admission is free for ages 10 and under, while adults aged 11 and up can enjoy the rodeo for $20. (City of Cumming)
- Embrace the sweetness of the Cumming Country Fair and Festival, where excitement awaits with delectable fair food, thrilling rides, unforgettable concerts, and various acts, creating cherished memories for families and friends. - For the first time in U.S. history, former President Donald Trump has a mugshot after surrendering at the nearby Fulton County Jail on RICO charges. Trump, who had previously claimed election interference, shared his mugshot with defiant words on his Truth Social account. He was charged with multiple offenses including RICO violations and false reporting, and was released on a $200,000 bond, while other defendants related to the Georgia election interference indictment are expected to surrender as well. - Three individuals have been apprehended by Forsyth County deputies for their involvement in an international theft ring targeting various businesses and homes, including Simon D. Jewelers in nearby Johns Creek. The suspects, identified as Maykel Hernandez, Giorge Navea, and Javier Guerra-Morales, were found to be part of a South American theft group operating across metro Atlanta and even spanning multiple states. These individuals were implicated in burglaries and attempted burglaries in different locations and are facing charges for smash-and-grab offenses as well as criminal damage to property. (WSBTV)
