Swimmer Drowns In Lake Lanier Near Dock
Electric current was found in the water surrounding the Georgia man's dock at Lake Lanier, where he drowned, authorities say.
CUMMING, GA — A 64-year-old man drowned Sunday in Young Deer Creek on Lake Lanier, the Georgia Department of Natural Resources said Monday.
The man was swimming near his dock when he went underwater in the afternoon, authorities said.
The Forsyth County Fire Department found electric current in the water surrounding the dock, but the man's cause of the death was not revealed.

Before game wardens arrived, a witness was able to pull the man's body from the water, authorities said. His body was in the custody of the Forsyth Coroner's Office, authorities said.
