Truman Mountain Road Closes Temporarily

Beginning Friday, Aug. 5 through Tuesday, Aug. 9, Truman Mountain Road will temporarily be closed to through traffic. The area of the closure will be approximately 0.2 miles north of State Route (SR) 53.

The upcoming temporary closure is due to construction work related to the SR 53/Truman Mountain Road intersection improvement project. The project is funded by Forsyth County’s current Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax program, SPLOST VI.

“We appreciate motorists’ patience during this construction period,” said Assistant Director of Engineering Tim Allen in a statement.

During the closure, a detour route will be marked.
