Woman Dies In Forsyth County Vehicle Crash Wednesday

A 71-year-old woman was killed in a crash Wednesday on Jot Em Down Road near County Lake Road in north Forsyth County.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — A 71-year-old woman was killed in a crash Wednesday on Jot Em Down Road near County Lake Road in north Forsyth County.

Barbara Morgan Fowler. 71, of Dawsonville in ForsythCounty, was pronounced deceased at the scene after a vehicle driven by Sean Charles Campbell, 31, of Gainesville, crossed over the yellow centerline, according to the Sheriff's Office.

At 9:32 a.m., the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and the Forsyth County Fire Department responded to Jot Em Down Road near County Lake Road in north Forsyth regarding the car crash.

According to police, the investigation has determined that a 2001 Toyota Sequoia, operated by Campbell, was traveling west on Jot Em Down Road; when the Sequoia left its lane, crossing over the yellow centerline, striking a 2006 Honda CR-V which was traveling east on Jot Em Down Road.

The 2006 Honda CRV was being operated by Morgan Fowler and the front seat passenger was 75-year-old Robert Fowler.

According to Deputy First Class Phil Alexander, traffic investigator with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s
Office, Morgan Fowler was pronounced deceased at the scene and Fowler was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Campbell, the driver of the Sequoia, and the front seat passenger, Kelsey Sullivan, 23, of Forsyth County, had non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Specialist Unit.
