100 Pounds Of Pot, THC Pens Uncovered In Flight Smuggling Case
Agents seized approximately 97.6 pounds of marijuana and THC vape pens as part of a Hartsfield-Jackson smuggling operation.
Atlanta, GA -- Agents of the GBI West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office arrested three people at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport Sunday. These arrests were part of an ongoing investigation into subjects smuggling contraband via domestic and international flights.
Agents arrested Marcus Daryl Malcom, 25, of Stone Mountain; charged with trafficking marijuana and possession of Schedule IV controlled substances. Agents also arrested Ashley Makia Farmer, 32, of Memphis, TN and Valerye Natili Mortimore, 28, of Smyrna. Both are charged with trafficking marijuana and possession of a Schedule I controlled substance. All were transported to the Clayton County Jail.

Also assisting in the investigation were the Georgia Department of Corrections, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Clayton County Police Department and Atlanta Police Department.
