  1. An 11-year-old Paulding County boy has been hospitalized after being hit by a car on Saturday. Georgia State Patrol say the boy darted out in front of a car on Macland Road near P.B. Ritch Middle School after having visited a convenience store with a friend. The boy was reported in stable condition after being taken to the hospital. (WSB-TV)
  2. Sheriff Gary Gulledge is assuring Paulding County residents that the Facebook post about a "serial killer" hunting women in the county is false. The sheriff says they have no evidence to substantiate the post circulating Facebook that a man is hitting women's cars and then abducting them. Sheriff Gulledge reminded the community to contact the Sheriff's office for possible crimes in the area. (WSB-TV)

  5. Professional magician Joe M. Turner – based in Paulding County – is joining the Magicians on Mission: Magic and Comedy Tour. The tour will visit multiple military bases in the Southwest Asia region beginning Aug. 24 and ending Sept. 4 to entertain U.S. troops overseas. (The Dallas New Era)
