$25K Reward Offered In S.Ga. Killing Of Former Paulding Soccer Star

Brianna Long, 21, was finishing a shift at a south Georgia bar, where she was shot to death.

LOWNDES COUNTY — A little over a month after a Paulding County native was shot to death while working at a south Georgia bar, a $25,000 reward is being offered in connection with her death, the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.

Authorities said "a concerned citizen" offered the reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect in the Oct. 29 shooting death of Brianna Long, 21.

Long was reportedly finishing a shift as a bartender at the Remerton bar, where an altercation led to the fatal shooting outside of the bar. The GBI previously said multiple vehicles had also been shot.

Long was closing down the bar with other staffers at the time. After being shot, she was taken to South Georgia Medical Center, where she later died, the GBI previously said.

The AJC previously reported Long was a "former Paulding County high-school soccer star." The outlet reported Long was a Valdosta State University dental hygiene student who was completing clinical courses at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College.
