- The City of Hiram is now accepting bids for the sale of city property located at 76 Seaboard Street. The property consisting of 0.93 acres is in close proximity to Grays Mill Park, the Silver Comet Trail, and the Hiram Trailhead. Sealed bids will be received by the city until Sept. 19, at 5:00 p.m. (City of Hiram)
- The City of Dallas will be holding a Back to School Block Party on Saturday, Aug. 6. The free event will include food trucks, music, touch-a-truck, a petting zoo, and more. (City of Dallas, Georgia – Government via Facebook)
- The University of Georgia spent $80 million renovating its football facility to bring in new recruits. Some of the new luxurious amenities include a private players' lounge, plunge pool, and nutrition bar. The project included a 140,000-square-foot expansion in addition to the renovations.
