  4. A national homebuilder announced the grand opening of four new communities in the greater Atlanta area — including two in Dallas. On Thursday, Century Communities announced the opening of Riverwood and Summit Pointe in Dallas, Rockwell Meadows in Winder, and Chimney Oaks in Homer. The homes in Riverwood are located at 51 Dew Drop Point and those in Summit Pointe are located at 716 Colbert Road. (Cision)
  5. On Sep. 13, the New Georgia Public Library will host a virtual family read-aloud parent training. Parents are encouraged to attend the event, which will focus on the benefits of read-aloud books and will discuss the impact read-alouds have on vocabulary development and academic success, as well as strategies to make reading fun and meaningful for the entire family.
