- The Dallas Police Department is hiring a 911 public safety telecommunicator for their team. Qualified applicants will be over 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, have good moral character, no felony arrests, and a good driving record among other things. - Dallas' High Shoals Falls was mentioned on the 'Best Waterfalls In Georgia' list. Though the falls weren't officially rated numerically, they were mentioned as a waterfall swimming pool location for readers to visit. (Only In Your State)

- The Citizens Police Academy, presented by the Dallas Police Department, will take place from Aug. 9 through Oct. 23. Applications are now being accepted for the second annual, free academy.
