Here are the top five stories today in Dallas-Hiram:

  1. Cherokee County's arrest records released yesterday include a Dallas resident. Justice Hernandez, 26, was arrested for unlawful possession of controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. (weisradio.com)
  2. The City of Dallas has just released their 2021 Water Quality Report. The city's water system supplies about 800,000 gallons of water a day to more than 3,600 customers. The current report shows no violations of contaminants. (City of Dallas)
  3. Sara Babb Pool will have new hours beginning on Monday, Aug. 1. The pool will be closed to the public Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday the pool will be open to the public from 11:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. (City of Dallas Parks & Rec. via Facebook)
  4. Paulding County's girls' fast pitch softball registration for the 2022 fall season ends on Aug. 5. The youth sport accepts girls ages four through 17. The registration cost for the season is $91. (Paulding County Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs via Facebook)
  5. The Dallas New Era is spotlighting a member of the community. They are thanking Will who delivers their newspapers every week.
