Sunday Is Your Last Chance To Provide Online Input On Paulding County's Future
The deadline to fill out the online survey to provide input on Paulding County's comprehensive and transportation plans is fast approaching.
PAULDING COUNTY, GA — Dallas, Hiram and Paulding County residents, mark your calendars: Sunday is your last chance to provide input online for what matters most to you in Paulding's future.
Throughout 2022, the county and its municipal partners are updating both their Comprehensive Transportation Plans and Comprehensive Plans. Both plans play vital roles the future of the county and "facilitating growth that is well managed, sustainable and enhances quality of life," according to the Paulding "Charting the Course" website.
The county has set up the website to share information from the Feb. 15 public meeting about the plans, and provide an opportunity for those who couldn't attend to still speak their minds. The online survey closes at the end of the day Sunday.

There will be two more public meetings about the plans later this year, one in April and one in September.
Paulding County has the 13th highest population in Georgia of all 159 counties, and was the second fastest-growing county by percentage in Metro Atlanta in the last 10 years. By 2050, it's estimated that Paulding's population will exceed 250,000 people.

Because of this, the CTP will undergo "a major update," and the Comprehensive Plan is undergoing a limited update.
According to the Charting the Course website, the CTP evaluates transportation conditions for all modes of travel, considers countywide opportunities to address them and results in a series of countywide transportation improvements. The Comprehensive Plan takes a broader look at how land use policy is shaping the county's and cities' future growth.
