DALLAS-HIRAM — A 16-year veteran of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office has been honored as its Officer of the Year.

Lt. Ashley Hill received the honor from Sheriff Gary Gulledge at the Paulding County Rotary Club’s Tuesday meeting.

Before that, Hill worked as a detective in the juvenile division, one of the “mentally toughest assignments in law enforcement,” Henson said. While there, Hill investigated cases of physical, sexual and emotional abuse against children on a daily basis.

“Ashley does an excellent job, her work in our juvenile division has been unparalleled over the years,” Gulledge said. “She is such a good person and a very hard worker. I cannot wait to see all of the good things that she will do in her new role.”
