Mattie's Call Issued for 83-Year-Old Buchanan Woman With Dementia

Barbara McCray, who suffers from dementia, went missing from her Dugdown Road residence Saturday night. She hasn't been seen since.

POLK COUNTY, GA — A Mattie’s Call was issued Monday for a Buchanan woman with dementia.

Barbara McCray, 83, was last seen at her Dugdown Road residence at about 6 p.m. Saturday. She was wearing a pink shirt, gray shorts and gray Nike tennis shoes.

Police, sheriff’s deputies and firefighters from Polk, Catoosa and Haralson Counties — along with Georgia State Patrol troopers and others — began searching for McCray Sunday afternoon, working until about 10 p.m. They resumed looking for McCray Monday morning.

The criminal investigations division of the Polk County Police Department is handling this as a missing-person case. Anyone with information that may help locate McCray can call Polk County E-911 at 770-748-3400 or Detective Bowman at 678-246-5107, ext. 810.
