Here are the top five stories today in Dallas-Hiram:
- A home builder that recently sold a plot of land for over 650 new homes in Dallas will also be developing a new subdivision in Jackson County. According to Walton Global, an international real estate investment company, the new project is a 50-minute drive from downtown Atlanta. Dubbed "Adamson," the project is expected to add more than 1,000 single-family homes as well as public facilities. Learn more at the link. (Newnan Times-Herald)
- A paint party hosted by The Dallas Markets that was scheduled for tomorrow has been pushed back to Aug. 12. On the new date, this event will give participants an opportunity to paint bouquets on 16" by 20" canvases. The $40 entry fee will cover costs of materials as well as a free beer, wine, or soda. - A Dallas-born man has passed away. Johnny Ralph Meek, 84, died on Jul. 15 in Rockmart, where he graduated from high school.
