  1. The Silver Comet Trail, which runs through Hiram, is listed as one of the best things to do by a local Atlanta resident. The trail is built on an abandoned railroad line and spans 61.5 miles and is 12-foot wide. (Insider)
  2. People across the globe celebrated National Cancer Survivors Day® by raising awareness and celebrating life on Jun. 5. Wellstar Paulding Hospital and Paulding County Commissioners hosted a "There's No Place Like Hope" cancer celebration in Dallas to celebrate survivors in the community. (EIN News)
  3. The Paulding County School District has announced its open house schedule for the 2022-2023 school year. Parents and students will be invited to the schools for a preview of the year on Jul. 28. Times vary depending on school and naming group. (Paulding County School District)
  4. Registration is currently open for Paulding County Parks & Recreation's Fall Youth Volleyball League. The cost to register – which includes the jersey fee – is $18 and registration ends on Aug. 12. Practices will begin the week of Aug. 20.   5. Paulding County Animal Control needs the community's help right now as dogs are coming in fast than being reclaimed.
