Search Suspended For Missing Grandmother With Dementia
An 83-year-old Buchanan woman with early-onset dementia went missing Saturday night. On Tuesday, authorities suspended their search for her.

POLK COUNTY, GA — With no new leads, authorities suspended their search Tuesday night for an 83-year-old woman with dementia who’d gone missing over the weekend.
“We don’t know any more than we did Sunday,” said Polk County Police Chief Kenny Dodd, as reported by The Polk County Standard Journal.
Barbara McCray of Buchanan was last seen Saturday evening near her home on Dugdown Road. She was reported missing the next morning.

According to the Polk County newspaper, the search involved more than 200 trained personnel and volunteers, trained dogs, helicopters and heat-sensitive drones.
Dodd said he did not believe foul play was involved.
