- The City of Dallas has released its annual water testing report based on the latest testing data collected last year. The report contains information about the source of water consumed in Paulding County, its constituents, and the health risks associated with any contaminants. Interested parties can download the full report by visiting the City of Dallas website. (City of Dallas, GA)
- The 2022-2023 school year in the Paulding County School District began yesterday, and district officials are reminding parents to complete their Infinite Campus Parent Portal registration. Beginning this year, parents will also be required to sign an electronic signature acknowledging they have read the Parent-Student Information Guide. Families can access Infinite Campus through the Parent Dashboard on the school's website. (Paulding County School District)
- Paulding County Animal Control is hosting its annual Clear the Shelters event all August long. Adoption fees will be waved now through Aug. 5, and additional discounts will be offered throughout the rest of the month. - BroncoFest takes place this Saturday, Aug. 6, at Hardy Family Ford in Dallas. - Last Sunday, Jul. 31, Paulding County water dispatch received an alarm around 4:50 p.m. and dispatched personnel to the Due West Pump Station to stop an overflow into Possum Creek. The pump was placed into manual operation and upon arrival on site, electricians replaced a faulty relay. As of Monday, Aug. 1, the relay had been effectively replaced and the station was returned to normal operation. (Paulding County, Georgia via Facebook)
