We'll See Sunshine, Not Today: Georgia Weekend Weather
Things are looking up for the weekend forecast in Georgia. We've got to get through a round of thunderstorms, first.

Temperatures will stay in the high 70s, with the best chance to get outside Sunday.
Showers and thunderstorms are possible Friday, particularly after 1 p.m. There's a risk of strong to severe storms with dangerous winds and hail.

The nasty weather will move out on Saturday, ruining the weekend for our friends in the Mid-Atlantic.
"Although the heavy rain will taper off by race time, look for a wet track for the running of the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Race Course near Baltimore," according to The Weather Channel.

We'll have a stretch of clear days into the start of the work week, with storm chances returning mid-week.
Here's the latest Atlanta forecast from the National Weather Service:
Today: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. High near 70. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Saturday: A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 78. West wind 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 77. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Monday: Sunny, with a high near 80.
