100 Black Women Decatur-DeKalb Hosting Fitness Event
The annual Taste of Health 5K run-walk and mental health awareness event will be held Sept. 21.

ATLANTA – The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Decatur-DeKalb Chapter has issued an invitation to the DeKalb community, city officials and friends to register for the annual Taste of Health 5K Run-Walk and Mental Health Awareness Event. The 5K Run-Walk event aims to bring awareness to the importance of physical fitness in families. A portion of funds raised will be used to enhance fitness programs and to support local mental health organizations that provide mental health resources and awareness.
“We are excited to host this 5K Run-Walk event and to partner with some amazing alliances who support this taboo cause in the African-American community.” said Delois Grizzle, president of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Decatur-DeKalb Chapter.
The NCBW Decatur-DeKalb Chapter and Door-to-Door Fitness will host the 5K Run-Walk event on Saturday, September 21 at the Samson’s Health Fitness Center, 6400 Woodrow Road. Stonecrest, GA. 30038. Registration begins at 7 am and the 5K race will begin at 8 am. Vendors will be available until 3:00pm. Early registration is $20 on or before August 21. A late registration fee of $25 is required after August 21.
