• Decatur man arrested on child molestation charges (fox5atlanta.com) — A Decatur resident has been jailed without bond on two aggravated child molestation charges involving minors, following an arrest by the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities say the alleged incidents happened between July and August 2025, and the case is now moving through the county’s criminal justice system.
   

• DeKalb County government to formally return to in-person operations Jan. 5, 2026 (ocgnews.com) — Starting Jan. 5, 2026, DeKalb County government offices based in and around Decatur will return to full in-person operations, ending pandemic-era remote work as a default. Residents can expect staffed offices during regular business hours, while some employees may still work limited hybrid schedules under strict guidelines that prioritize in-person service and preserve current hours and staffing levels.
