ALDI Reopening Remodeled Decatur Store In August

DECATUR, GA — ALDI's renovated Decatur store will reopen Thursday, Aug. 8, as part of a $1.9 billion initiative to remodel and expand more than 1,300 ALDI stores nationwide by the end of 2020. The Decatur store is located at 3480 Memorial Drive. Locally, ALDI is investing more than $49.5 million to update 42 stores in Atlanta and the surrounding metropolitan area by the end of 2020.

To celebrate the Decatur store reopening, ALDI will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, August 8, at 8:45 a.m., followed by its "golden ticket" giveaway offering gift cards to the first 100 customers. Shoppers can also sample ALDI-exclusive brand foods and enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win a year’s supply of ALDI produce.

The updated Decatur ALDI store layout features expansive refrigeration space. ALDI recently expanded its product offerings, making 20 percent of its total selection new. This expansion is part of the company’s national growth and remodel plan, and it includes a 40 percent increase in its fresh food selection, with many organic options. The Decatur store will be open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Stores are easier to navigate and have more space for the products people love the most,” said Shaun O’Keefe, Jefferson division vice president for ALDI. “We can’t wait to show our customers in Decatur their newly remodeled store, and continue providing the affordable, high-quality foods we know they love at ALDI.”

ALDI carries a streamlined selection of exclusive products and national brands.

ALDI has also launched a partnership with online grocery delivery service Instacart. The service is available at ALDI stores in locations where Instacart currently delivers. Instacart delivers to 6,000 ZIP codes across 38 states and is accessible to 70% (82 million) of U.S. households.

ALDI is also adding 25,000 new jobs in stores, warehouses and offices across the country by the end of 2022.
