COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate A Go For Decatur Schools Staff, Reports

The City Schools of Decatur will mandate vaccination for all teachers and staff, putting off student requirements for now.

DECATUR, GA — City Schools of Decatur will require that all teachers and staff be vaccinated for COVID-19 by Oct. 31.

Superintendent Maggie Fehrman on Tuesday night went through with one part of her August promise to consider a vaccine mandate for both staff and students, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Ty Tagami reported.

Fehrman kept the mandate to just the adults, saying that for the time being the City schools system would forego requiring students to get the shot.
