DECATUR, GA — DeKalb County’s Chief Magistrate Judge Berryl A. Anderson has announced the Second Annual People’s Law School. This community education program, which is free and available to all DeKalb County residents, is designed to provide adults with a general overview of the court system in Georgia, with a special emphasis on DeKalb Magistrate Court. The curriculum will include instruction on civil, criminal, ordinance and mental health court matters.
Friday, September 6 is the last day to apply. Space is limited and applying does not guarantee a space in the program.
Classes will take place on Monday evenings for four consecutive Mondays: October 14, October 21, October 28, and November 4, from 6-8 p.m. After completion of all class sessions, participants will “graduate” from the People’s Law School.
