Early voter turnout in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District is turning out well for the Democrats, according to news reports. This is good news Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff, frontrunner in the race to represent the 6th District, which encompasses parts of Cobb, Fulton and DeKalb counties. Cohn recently tweeted that Democrats outvoted Republicans 60 to 28 on the first day of 6th District voting, a stark contrast to the November 2016 elections.

Alyssa Milano Offers Free Rides To Voters In Ga. Congressional Race

The Democrats' campaign to #FlipThe6th is garnering some serious Hollywood star power. Actress Alyssa Milano is throwing her support behind Jon Ossoff, who is currently leading in the polls, to fill Georgia's 6th Congressional District seat. The special election to replace Tom Price, who was tapped to serve as President Donald Trump's health secretary, will be held Tuesday, April 18.

'Cake Boss' Star Buddy Valastro To Appear At Perimeter Mall

The star of TLC’s "Cake Boss" television show will be in attendance when he opens his newest eatery at Perimeter Mall in DeKalb County come April. Buddy Valastro is set to attend the April 8 grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for Carlo’s Bakery at 6:30 a.m., according to the bakery’s website.

Suspects Charged With Trafficking Meth in Holly Springs

Authorities seized more than a quarter pound of meth, marijuana and close to a dozen prescription drugs in a raid conducted earlier this month at a mobile home park in Holly Springs. Four people were arrested and charged with various drug offenses after agents with the Cherokee Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad received a tip from a citizen expressing concerns about alleged drug activity at the Holly Mobile Home Park.

Sheriff's Office Tackles Speeding On Highway 20

The Cherokee Sheriff's Office will soon launch an effort to crack down on excessive speeding on the county's major west-to-east thoroughfare. The agency will beef up its presence along Cumming Highway/S.R. 20 between the Canton Marketplace area and the Forsyth County line. The decision to roll out this initiative comes on the heels of several complaints from citizens about "speeding and reckless driving" along the highway, said sheriff's office spokesman Lt. Jay Baker.
