Grandson Charged With Murder In Woman's Disappearance in Decatur
Charges were upgraded to murder for Gregory Williams in the disappearance of 78-year-old Millicent Williams, his grandmother.
DECATUR, GA -- DeKalb County officials on Saturday upgraded the charges against a Decatur man being held in the disappearance of his grandmother, Patch has learned. Gregory Williams is now facing murder charges in the case of the missing woman.
New details continue to emerge as authorities continue to search for 78-year-old Millicent Williams, who lived in a home in the 3800 block of Brookgreen Point in DeKalb with her grandson. Recent news reports indicate that the woman previously sought an order of protection against her son, according to news reports. Gregory Williams was apprehended by DeKalb officers Thursday afternoon after authorities spotted him in his grandmother's 2014 Toyota Carolla. They pulled him over in a Kroger parking lot after a search of the home unveiled fresh clues in the woman's disappearance.

Authorities found reportedly found blood in the home although it was not immediately clear whose it was. According to WGCL, police were also searching a residence in the 4500 block of Flat Shoals Parkway in Decatur.
"We saw signs of a struggle at the scene, so, that raised our suspicions -- and that forced us to act," Capt. J.A. Lewis told WXIA-TV.
