Even though it’s a holiday, not every business will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25. Here’s a look at what’s open and closed.

Entertainment:

• AMC 16 Theaters at North DeKalb Mall -- Open Dec. 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
• Woodlands Garden -- Open Dec. 25 during daylight hours.

• DeKalb History Center Museum -- Closed Dec. 24, 25 and 26.
• North DeKalb Mall -- Open on Dec. 24 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; closed on Dec. 25
• Perimeter Mall -- Open until 6 p.m. on Dec. 24; closed on Dec. 25

Grocery and Convenience:

• Cherians International Groceries -- 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Patel Brothers -- Open 10:00 a.m. 9:30 p.m.
• CVS -- Open 24 hours
• Rainbow Natural Foods -- Open until 5 p.m. Dec. 24, Closed Dec. 25
• Kroger -- Open until 7 p.m. on Dec. 24, Closed Dec. 25
• Walmart Supercenter -- Open until midnight Dec. 24, Closed Dec. 25
• Sawicki’s -- Closed Dec. 25

City Services:

• All Decatur city offices and administrative services close on Dec. 25 and Dec. 26; Offices will reopen on Monday, Dec. 29.

Schools:

• All Decatur City Schools are closed from Dec. 22 through Jan. 2.
  
  

County Government:

• All DeKalb County government offices close on Dec. 25. Reopen on Dec. 26

Trash and Recycling :

• The DeKalb County Public Works Department will not offer collection services on Dec. 25.
• Regular garbage collection schedule will run on Dec. 26 and Dec. 27.
• Blue box and yard trimming recycling will run on Dec. 26.

Public Transit:

• Dec. 24: All MARTA bus and rail lines operate on Saturday schedule, excepting except bus lines 24, 143 and 148 which run on a regular weekday schedule.
• Dec. 25: All MARTA bus and rail lines operate on a Sunday schedule.

Libraries:

• Bookworms will have to wait until Dec. 26, as all DeKalb County Public Library branches are closed on both Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.
