Three Surrender After Early Morning DeKalb SWAT Standoff
The incident happened early Monday morning in Lithonia, when SWAT teams surrounded a home.
LITHONIA, GA — Three people surrendered after an early morning SWAT standoff outside a Lithonia home. According to police, officers responded around 1 am to reports of a burglary in progress. When police arrived at the home, they found it occupied by three possibly armed burglary suspects.
A bomb squad was also called in. The incident happened at a Creekford Drive home, and several neighboring homes were evacuated as a precaution.
Police said the three suspects surrendered around 7:30 am. No one was injured in the incident.
