Two Arrested In Oakhurst Armed Robbery, One Suspect At Large
Three men robbed a man in late July while he was walking home. Police have arrested two suspects in the case, and are seeking a third.
DECATUR, GA — Two people have been arrested in connection with an Oakhurst armed robbery, and police are still looking for a third suspect. So far, police have arrested Andrew Jones, and Kenneth Harris in connection with the July 24 incident, in which a man was robbed late that night while walking home on Ansley Street. A third suspect, Kimmari Farrelly, 18, of Ellenwood, Georgia, is still being sought.
Police said both Jones, 20, of Decatur, and Harris, 25, also of Decatur, were both arrested on the downtown square without incident.
The victim reported he left work in Oakhurst and began walking home traveling east on Oakview Road and then north on Ansley Street. The victim had headphones on, listening to music. While walking on Ansley Street, he noticed three men walking south past him on the sidewalk. Two of the men then pointed firearms at him and one of them demanded he empty his pockets and give them his phone.

The victim complied and then ran from the area until he found a person walking their dog and asked for them to call 911. The person did not have a phone so the victim ran home and called police. Officers canvassed Decatur High School property based on results from the victim's phone locater app and recovered a replica firearm on the ground. Police later recovered the victim's phone in the same area.
