4 Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Lithia Springs Man
Douglas County authorities say Corey Myers, 46, was shot to death on June 7, 2022, at his Lithia Springs apartment.
LITHIA SPRINGS, GA — Four people have been charged in connection with the June 7, 2022, fatal shooting of a Lithia Springs man, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday.
Authorities said Corey Myers, 46, was shot and killed in a suspected home invasion at his Birch Landing apartment.
Criminal investigators spent 14 months probing Myers' death, authorities said. The investigation led authorities to Jonesboro, as well as New Jersey, Mississippi, Texas, Tennessee, Florida and North Carolina.

Ultimately, four people were arrested between Aug. 2 and Aug. 19 in connection with the fatal shooting.

- Christian Jeriel Dejerinett, 20, of Jonesboro, arrested on Aug. 2 in Atlanta
- Keyako Elijah Enrique Moore, 22, of Jonesboro, arrested on Aug. 2 in Jonesboro
- Jermonie Taj Suttles, 21, of Jonesboro, arrested on Aug. 9 in Chattanooga, Tennessee
- Dion Eric Williams, 46, of Charlotte, North Carolina, arrested on Aug. 19 in Charlotte
Specific charges in the case are unknown.
"Sheriff Tim Pounds wants to express his sincere gratitude to all of his deputies and investigators who have worked so hard to identify and apprehend these individuals responsible for this crime. He would also like to thank the numerous other agencies that assisted in this investigation. Without the cooperation of all these agencies, it would have been nearly impossible to bring these individuals to justice," read a news release.
The U.S. Department of Justice, U.S. Secret Service, FBI Atlanta's Violent Crimes Task Force, Georgia State Patrol SWAT teams, Clayton County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Division, Chattanooga (Tennessee) Police Department's Homicide Detectives and Fugitive Division and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg (North Carolina) Police Department's Homicide Detectives and Fugitive Units all assisted with the case.
