  1. In case you missed it: Mayor Rochelle Robison and the Douglasville City Council recently issued proclamations for several groups' work with Keep Douglasville Beautiful. Multiple groups — including Camryn's Cleaning Crew, Hailee's Angels, the NAACP, and several sorority and fraternity organizations — were publicly acknowledged for their litter cleanup efforts. In Episode 59, which aired last Friday, host Jason Post was joined by Kelly Fellows as well as Hannah Bivens from the Douglasville Welcome Center.   3. Despite a valiant effort, Alexander High School's basketball team lost out to Hoover in Monday's MLK National Showcase. Hoover held a slight lead through much of the matchup, but Douglasville didn't go down without a fight, with both teams scoring through the last quarter. The final score was 78-57. (AL.com)
  4. Douglasville-based Rogers Building Solutions (RBS) announced its acquisition of Sluss+Padgett (S+P). S+P, based in Norcross, offers commercial, mechanical, and plumbing services across Georgia and North Carolina. According to Mike Grabham, CEO of RBS, "this investment is an important part of our longer-term strategic plan." (Yahoo Finance)
