  1. Three schools in the Douglas County School System – Douglas County High School, Lithia Springs High School, and Turner Middle School – have been recognized by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) as RAMP-certified schools. This certification acknowledges the schools' commitment to providing comprehensive, data-driven school counseling programs in line with the ASCA National Model framework. The RAMP designation signals to the wider community that these schools are dedicated to supporting the district's mission, and approximately 1,200 schools have earned this recognition to date.   2. The Douglasville Police Department is participating in the DEA Pill Take Back Day on Apr. 22 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to allow residents to dispose of medications. Medications cannot be dropped off outside of the scheduled event times, and the event will take place at the Douglasville Police Department, located at 2083 Fairburn Road.   3. The Douglasville Police Department is also hosting a Spring Community Yard Sale on Apr. 15, offering 12-by-12 grass spaces for a $25 registration fee. The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine on the front lawn of the police department, and interested parties can contact Sgt.
