- If you've ever wanted to see Beyonce live, now might be your chance. The pop superstar added a third Atlanta performance to her latest world tour; Beyhive presale tickets were released yesterday, with various other presale offers launching through the week and standard tickets going on sale starting Saturday, Feb. 18 at 2:00 p.m. Beyonce's new performance will take place at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium — less than a half-hour from Douglasville — on Monday, Aug. 14 at 7:00 p.m. (Atlanta Patch)
- The Douglasville-Douglas County Water-Sewer Authority (DDCWSA) will be conducting work along Blairs Bridge Rd. as part of the Cobb Sewer Tunnel Connection project. The work will result in the partial closure of one westbound lane on Blairs Bridge Rd. near the Blairs Bridge Rd./Bob Arnold Blvd. intersection. Closures began yesterday, Feb. 13, and will continue through Mar. 3 on weekdays from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. (Douglasville GA)
- The community is invited to the National Women's History Month Celebration with Douglas County Chairwoman Dr. Romona Jackson Jones. The event is scheduled for Thursday, Mar. 23 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Douglasville Conference Center. Guests can enjoy light appetizers as well as live entertainment. - The Douglasville Police Department (DPD) will host a Spring Festival & Safety Expo on Saturday, Apr. 1 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Douglasville Public Safety Complex. Attendees can meet public safety officials while enjoying egg hunts, touch-a-trucks, K-9 demonstrations, and more. The event is free and open to the public, with booth registration for vendors priced at $40.
