- Authorities have doubled the reward offered to find the person who shot and killed two teenagers at a sweet sixteen birthday party. According to officials, the extra $20,000 was contributed by the Douglas County Board of Commissioners and the Sheriff's Asset Forfeiture Fund. This brings the reward to $40,000. Any witnesses that have not spoken to investigators are asked to come forward. (11 Alive)
- The Douglas County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Tuesday to launch the Douglas County Fire/EMS, E-911 & Douglas County CSB Co-Responders Program. The program will help coordinate efforts between Douglas County Fire and Douglas County CSB. It will also grant an in-house mental health professional to support emergency responders.
