- There is a critical need in Douglasville for blood donors. Residents of Douglasville who donate at the City of Douglasville Blood Drive on Feb. 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Douglasville Public Safety Complex Community Room will be eligible to receive a $30 Amazon e-gift card for their selfless contribution. - A bad accident closed down multiple lanes of I-20 on Friday morning. Multiple lanes of I-20 eastbound were shut down Friday morning just before Thornton Road in Douglas County. All roads have since reopened, but the wreck and lane closures caused backups for miles. As this is a developing story, no information about injuries has been released. - South Paulding High School seniors need to order their cap and gown if they haven't already. The school is also requesting graduating seniors to not wear their sibling’s old cap and gown from a previous graduation, as they've upgraded the hood design this year. - The 2023 Bicycle Ride sponsored by the Douglasville Police Department is scheduled for Saturday, Apr. 1, 2023. Check-in will begin at 7 a.m. with the ride spanning from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. The $25.00 registration fee includes a t-shirt.
