Bus Accident Blocks Chapel Hill Road
An accident involving a school bus has Chapel Hill Road at a stand still.
A crash between a Jeep Grand Cherokee and a school bus has a section of Chapel Hill Road at a standstill.
Around 12:30 p.m. the Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling north on Chapel Hill Road when it sideswiped an Annaweekee Academy bus going south near the entrance to the Chapel Hill subdivision, said Sgt. Brad Loudermilk of the .
Ten children were on the field trip bus when the two vehicles collided. None was injured, Loudermilk said. But the driver of the bus sustained leg injuries.

Several parents were at the scene to get their children. The rest were taken back to the day care center.
The Jeep ended up in a ditch, and the bus was still on the road, with obvious damage, after the incident.

Loudermilk said around 1 p.m. that the police were waiting on a wrecker to clear the road and remove the Jeep.
Meanwhile, Douglasville police allowed one lane of traffic to go around the accident, thus the backup.
