Why are you seeking elective office?
That our community will operate at its pinnacle point.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
The infrastructure on the north side of Ward 3 Post 2.
What are your short- and long-term goals if you are elected?
First, we would need to redefine our goals, next set up a budget according to our goals. After, we cut expenses. Also, we need to create an emergency fund. Above all, we need to get out of debt.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I am a long time resident of the City of Douglasville and a current resident of Ward 3. I love our city, and our people, and I want to serve you as your spokesman on the Douglasville City Council, Ward 3, Post 2. I have lived in Douglas County nearly all of life, most of it in Ward 3, and because of that I believe I can effectively represent the interests of all of our neighbors on the Council. The incumbent Sam Davis is a good event planner. The other candidate I do not know.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
For Ward 3, Post 2, commercial economic planning.
How do you think local officials performed in responding to the coronavirus? What if anything would you have done differently?
To make the COVID-19 antibodies available to everyone.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.
"There is no wrong in doing right," it is about the people of the community and not about the servant.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I was formerly employed with Rogers Electric, a national firm organized by one of my
brothers, and during that time I had extensive business experience in electrical contracting in a number of skilled and management positions. I am now retired from my role with the company, and I am currently involved investing in real estate properties in our City to provided needed housing for residents. My company is Top Quality Service Group, LLC, doing business as Rogers Properties.
I am the founder and CEO of The Refuge Atlanta, Inc., a nonprofit ministry which exists
to teach and equip the principles of Wisdom, Wealth and Wellness to young men in our
community. We also have a ministry with widows, and disabled Veterans. For broader community outreach we partner with Bread of Life ministries (feeding and housing the homeless), Helping Hands, Douglas County Food Bank, Douglas County Sheriff Outreach, and the Douglas County Drug Court.
What do you like best about living in your city (or county)?
The people.
The best advice ever shared with me was:
If you always do what you have always done, you always get what you have always gotten.
If nothing changes nothing changes.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I believe that people deserve a better life, even if they don't know they deserve it.
